When I was a kid I was really inspired by Shel Silverstein. I dreamed of someday becoming an illustrator like him. Telling stories in simple black & white.

Magic
by Shel Silverstein
Sandra’s seen a leprechaun,
Eddie touched a troll,
Laurie danced with witches once,
Charlie found some goblins’ gold.
Donald heard a mermaid sing,
Susy spied an elf,
But all the magic I have known
I’ve had to make myself.

My first attempt at a wheat paste recipe was a total fail. i ended it up to what can be summed up as a sugarry cottage cheese that was NOT sticky. If anybody has a fool proof recipe for wheat paste please let me know.
For the last decade or so I’ve wanted to try wheatpasting one of my drawings and tonight I finally got off my ass and did it. The paste was wayyy too thick! This piece is about 4 x 3 feet and I think the Nirvana posters and cool skull graphic underneath compliment it quite nicely. A special thank you to the ghost of Kurt Cobain for that one. It won’t last long though, I saw some rat-bastard staple-gunning his shit over mine about an hour later. It’s not completely gone though - catch it while you can on the corner of 11th and Pine.
